Our Last 2 Days Together!

I can't believe that we are here at the end of June already! What a wonderful, busy and fun year it has been! Thank you all for your support and interest in your child's education. It would not be possible without your help.

Today is our retirement celebration assembly at 9:00! Please come and join in the fun!

We will be heading off to Henderson Lake for our Grade 2 picnic at 11:00 and returning this afternoon around 2 or so. Please come and join us even for just part of the day if you are able to. We will be near the new park by the boat dock.

Tomorrow is our year end assembly at 10:00. We will be having our own mini celebration in our classroom starting around 9:00. Feel free to come and join us!

Keep your eyes open for your child's report card coming home tomorrow! Time to celebrate!

Thank you again! Have a super happy and safe summer! Looking forward to seeing you all in September.
Love Miss. Craddock

Our Last Full Week!

Today is Sports Day!
Today we will be outside moving around 16 fun stations starting at 10:30 and breaking for lunch as usual. Kids who go to BLAST will go to there and kids who go home will do what they normally do as well.
We will head back out after lunch and come back in for freezies and a movie to cool down at 2:15!
Thank you so much for sending your child in their team colours and with all of their supplies for the day! We are pumped and ready to go!

Tomorrow June 22, is our National Aboriginal Walk to Nicholas Sheran! We will be watching some dancing and taking in all of the festivities. Please come and join us if you would like. We will be leaving right after announcements at 8:40 and returning approximately 10:30. Please send your child in proper walking shoes and with sunscreen and bugspray. The mosquitoes are nasty!

Schedule Change!

Boat Launch has been moved to this WEDNESDAY the 15th!

Please check out the pink note that came home with your child today.

All details are the same except that it is now Wednesday.

The forecast calls for sun! Keep your fingers crossed and think sunny thoughts!

12 Days to Go!

Swimming tomorrow!
Thanks so much for your help with the change of dates! What an awesome group. We will be swimming at Nicholas Sheran from 9-10 tomorrow. Thank you to Mrs. Andres, Mr. Sawa, Mr. Olmstead, Mrs. Irwin and Mrs. Sommerfeldt for driving. We will see you at the school at 8:40 tomorrow. Please send your kids with a shopping bag to put wet suits and towels into.

Boats are due tomorrow!
There have been some really awesome boats delivered to class already! Way to go! We can't wait to test them tomorrow.

Thursday is boat launch day. We will walk to Nicholas Sheran while Mhairi's dad and Danita N. drives our boats over for us. When we arrive we will have our snack and have a little rest. We then will launch our boats into the lake. We collect them before we walk over to the spray park for our lunches and some fun water play. Things to remember...

Dress for the weather please. Current forecast does not look great for Thursday! There is a chance we may move it to this Wednesday! Please keep checking in agendas and on the blog for updates.Proper walking shoes. Nicholas Sheran is a long way in heels.

Water shoes are great for at the lake. Be aware that the beach area can be pretty muddy and we have lost crocs there before. Flip flops are not great either.

Two healthy snacks, water bottle, and an ample lunch.

Towel to lay on, bathing suit (for the spray park), sunscreen, and hats.

Parents are welcome to join in on the fun. We will be bussed back to school so we don't need drivers.
Last Spelling Test of the year this week. There is no homework for it. Just the following words:
which - always - around - before - their - caught - surprise - mountain - magnet - attract

Swim Mix-up...

Swim Date Change
There was a mix-up between dates and times for swimming tomorrow. I am so sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused for our parent helpers. OUR NEW SWIM DATE is JUNE 14 from 9-10 am. We will leave the school at 8:40 and return at 10:15. I have emailed the parent drivers who were originally driving and have heard back from a few. If you are still able to drive for this swim date please e-mail me or write a note in the agenda. If you were not able to drive before but are able to now I would also appreciate your help. Thank you so much for your flexibility and understanding.
                                                Thank you,
