We are learning some new double digit addition strategies with regrouping!

Ask your child about the fun game we played in math today. This game could easily be played at home with a scrap piece of paper and measure with pencils.

We are headed to the Southern Alberta Art Gallery this week on Thursday for a mini session of Art School. Thank you to Mrs. Meerkerk, Mrs. Babe and Mrs. Gail who will be meeting us there to help out.

Don't foget to come to the SPRING DANCE this THURSDAY at MMH school. It is from 6:30-8:30 and will be a super fun time for families and school community to share. Thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered and made this event possible.

Family DanceOn Thursday March 29th, all MMH students and their families are invited to our 'Bring in Spring' family dance!
Dance will start at 6:30-8:30. Come join in for some snacks, re-freshments, dancing, and end the night with our “MMH Minute to Win it Family Challenge”.
There will be will be a $1.00 admission fee per person which we will put towards our breakfast program.
If you are interested in volunteering for a half hour shift during the evening please contact Deanne McDonnell @ dhicks30@shaw.ca

YOGA on TUESDAY from 8:30-9:00. We will be going through a 30 minute yoga session with a specialized teacher within our district on Tuesday first thing in the morning. If you have a yoga mat at home that your child could use please send it with them. It will be returned that day. Please dress your child in comfy clothes they can easily stretch in that day.

Hot Lunch is on Wednesday the 21st.

Please check out the note about our trip to the Southern Alberta Art Gallery on Thursday the 29th. The note will be in your child's agenda today.

Usborne Book Fair this week! This book fair will be held on March 22nd from 8:30-3:30 and March 23rd from 8:30-12:00 in the school library. Books will be available for viewing and then ordering. Books will be delivered later. Parents and families are welcome to come and take a look as well.

Celebration of Learning is tomorrow afternoon and evening ( Tuesday, March 13) ! It will be in our classroom from 3:30 - 7:30. If you have not booked a time please contact the office and they will be more than happy to help you!I look forward to seeing you all there. Your children are excited to share with you!

Our Grade 2's will be performing a short little rap at the assembly at 12:35. If you are able to pop in please do. If you are not able to.....NO WORRIES! It is very short but sweet.

Happy Monday! The wind is back. Ughh.

It is Report Card Week! Report Cards will be sent home this Friday. Please take time to celebrate all of the SUCCESS with your child as well as maybe talk about 1 or 2 goals that could be set for the next reporting period.

Dr.Seuss' Birthday was a BLAST on Friday!

We have been working so hard in our class and I know your child will be VERY excited to lead you through our Celebration of Learning on Tuesday, March 13. Please make sure you sign up for a time online if you have not already. Directions were on the back of the green sheet sent home last week that outlined all of the details. If you find you need help do not hesitate to contact Laura or June in the office.

Wear Green on Wednesday, March 14!

No school on March 15 and 16 due to interviews and PD.

Thursday, March 29 we will be going to the SAAG (Southern Alberta Art Gallery)  for a morning of art and such. A bus is provided but if you would like to join us as a parent supervisor please let me know. We will be there from 10-11:30. Thanks!
