Happy
Thanksgiving!
I hope
you all have a very restful and warm Thanksgiving. We did a number of
activities to talk about the holiday and share what we are thankful for. What a
great group for knowing how important friends and family are!
Reminder
that there is no school on Monday or Tuesday! See you back at M.M.H. on
Wednesday the 16th.
There
will be no spelling this week with the short week.
Happy Fall!
We are almost half way through October already! It is the time for pumpkins and
all things orange! In grade 2 we spend a day or two working with math and
pumpkins. We explore measuring circumference, mass and height. We also problem
solve and do a lot of comparing. Can you
please send a pumpkin to school with your child October 22nd. Please
do not send them well in advance as they tend to rot quite quickly. Please send
a pumpkin that your child can easily carry independently. Thank you!
Halloween
Our
Halloween parade will be on October 31 at 12:40 in the afternoon. You are more
than welcome to come and watch the action. As a school we ask that parents
please do not send your child
to school in costume. Have the costume in their back pack ready to go for a
quick change after lunch. We ask that parents keep the costumes at school very
simple and easy for little ones to handle on their own. Please keep any
weapons, super fancy makeup etc. at home and ready for the big Halloween night!
Thank you for help with this!
